Inground Pool Construction
Once you’ve selected the perfect inground pool for your backyard and we’ve finalized the design, it’s time to begin construction. Our experienced team will handle every aspect of the pool construction process, from obtaining necessary permits to excavating and coordinating the delivery of your new pool for installation. Our swimming pools are constructed using the best materials and techniques for strength, precision, and durability.
Pool Construction Process
We take pride in our meticulous construction methods to ensure a high-quality and durable fiberglass pool that will last for years to come.
- Obtaining Permits: After the pool design is approved, our team will prepare and submit the required applications for zoning, construction, and electrical work. It is our responsibility to make sure that all plans are compliant with state and local building codes. The review process may take a few weeks, depending on your location.
- Planning a Construction Timeline: Simultaneously, we’ll coordinate with you to schedule a tentative pool construction timeline. When we start will depend greatly on how long the permit process takes and when the pool can be delivered from the manufacturer. We believe that communication is the key to success, so we’ll be sure to keep you informed throughout every step of the process.
- Pre-Construction Meeting: Once all necessary permits are obtained, we’ll send one of our swimming pool job experts to your property to review the planned work, and touch base before we begin working in your yard. At this meeting, your pool can be flagged off for your reference. We can also mark any additional backyard design or pool landscaping features.
- Pool InstallationUtility Locate: Leading up to installation, our team will also arrange for the identification of utility lines — including electrical and communication lines. Through the 811 Locate system (supported by both North Carolina and South Carolina), your utility companies will be notified so they can send the appropriate workers out to mark underground lines at no charge. This will help our excavators to stay safe and to avoid damaging utility lines, which might result in the disruption of vital services. We also ask that you mark the heads of your irrigation lines so our team can identify them. Our pre-construction meeting and utility locate request typically occur 1 to 2 weeks before installation.
We will then be ready to begin the most exciting part of the process: pool installation!
How Much Does It Cost to Build a Pool?
Estimating the pool construction cost can be challenging due to the many variables involved in the process. Factors such as the size and shape of the pool, the materials used, the complexity of the design can all impact the total cost. Soil conditions and ease of access to your property can also affect pricing. For example, installing a pool on a steeply sloped yard might involve additional landscaping and retaining wall costs. Additionally, prices can vary based on local regulations and permit fees.
As reputable swimming pool builders, we make sure to communicate any pool construction costs to you before the work is done. It’s important to keep in mind that investing in a fiberglass pool isn’t just about the initial cost: It’s also about the long-term value. Besides the luxury and convenience of having a top-of-the-line swimming pool in your backyard, you can also experience the many benefits of fiberglass pools over other pool types like vinyl and concrete.

How Long Does It Take to Install a Pool?
From excavation to the completion of final inspections, it generally takes 6 to 8 weeks for our team to install a new fiberglass pool.
It is important to remember that there are some factors that are beyond our control. For example, while initial inspections often take only a few days, they can sometimes take longer. This is because we rely on government agencies to issue the required permits needed to begin the pool construction process.
Once we begin the building process, you can rest assured that our team will move along as quickly and efficiently as possible. Your dedicated project manager will keep you updated every step of the way.
